WeWork India has announced the signing of five long-term lease agreements across major cities, specifically Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, totaling over 7 lakh sq ft of Grade A office space. This expansion will add around 12,000 desks to their portfolio, indicating a strong commitment to the growing demand for flexible workspaces in South India. The new centers include WeWork Embassy TechVillage 8C, WeWork Vista Earth Centre, and WeWork Infinix Palladium in Bengaluru; WeWork Phoenix H10 in Hyderabad; and WeWork Embassy Splendid in Chennai. The leases are structured for durations between 10 to 20 years, and the company emphasizes its partnerships with various landlords to enhance workspace solutions. Karan Virwani, the managing director and CEO of WeWork India, highlighted the significance of South India in the office market, noting Bengaluru's dynamic tech scene, Hyderabad's rapid growth, and Chennai's emergence as a hub for global services. This strategic expansion reflects WeWork's confidence in these markets and aligns with the rising trend of enterprises adopting flexible workplace strategies.
