The 6-foot junior, originally from Mishawaka, Indiana, had a remarkable career at Notre Dame, averaging 19.1 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. He made an immediate impact as a freshman, scoring 17.5 points per game and earning ACC Rookie of the Year honors. His sophomore year was even more impressive, as he led the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in scoring with an average of 21.3 points per game, earning a spot on the All-ACC second team. Unfortunately, Burton's final season was marred by an ankle injury, limiting him to just 10 games. The transfer comes at a crucial time for both Indiana's head coach Darian Devries and Notre Dame's Micah Shrewsberry, as both programs seek to improve their standings in their respective conferences.
