On April 9, Kerala conducted its Assembly elections across all 140 constituencies, achieving an impressive overall voter turnout of 78.27%. Kunnathunad constituency in Ernakulam district emerged as the standout performer, recording over 84% voter participation. Other constituencies in the district, including Tripunithura, Kalamassery, and North Paravur, also exceeded the 80% turnout mark. The Election Commission of India (ECI) reported that women voters were particularly active, with their turnout at 80.86%, while men's participation was at 75.01%. Transgender voters also engaged, with a turnout of 57.04%. The capital district of Thiruvananthapuram saw Kattakada leading with an 80.7% turnout, and urban areas like Nemom and Kazhakkoottam showed increased participation compared to previous elections. District-wise, Kozhikode and Palakkad recorded some of the highest turnouts at 81.36% and 80.54%, respectively.
