In the Kayamkulam constituency, incumbent CPI(M) legislator U. Prathibha faces a challenging race against Congress candidate M. Liju, who is seeking his first electoral victory. The BJP is also making strategic moves, fielding Shone George in Pala to appeal to Christian voters amid controversies surrounding foreign funding regulations. As candidates shift allegiances and new personalities enter the fray, the electoral landscape in central Kerala is set for an intense battle.
