The No. 10 UCLA Bruins softball team dominated the Illinois Fighting Illini with an 18-0 shutout in the series finale at Eichelberger Field in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. This victory marked UCLA's second shutout of the series, following a 17-0 win in the opener and a 10-1 victory in the second game. Sophomore pitcher Brynne Nally led the Bruins on the mound, giving up five hits and a walk while preventing any runs over five innings. Offensively, UCLA showcased their power, scoring 18 runs through 18 hits and three walks. The Bruins started strong with a two-run single and continued to build their lead with a three-run homer from Aleena Garcia, who later hit another three-run shot in a second seven-run inning. UCLA's offensive onslaught included additional homers from Mujica and senior Megan Grant. With this win, UCLA improves their season record to 37-5 and will next face Cal Baptist at Easton Stadium in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
