To address the increasing demand for commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders during the wedding season, the Lucknow district administration has introduced a new application process. Starting April 14, families and caterers must submit an application along with a copy of the wedding invitation card to secure gas supplies. This initiative is designed to verify the authenticity of requests and prevent the misuse of domestic LPG meant for household use. Registered caterers will receive commercial LPG cylinders, ensuring that large-scale cooking needs for weddings are met appropriately. The administration emphasizes that this temporary measure is crucial for maintaining supply stability and preventing black marketing during peak demand. Officials have assured that there will be no shortage of commercial gas cylinders, addressing concerns raised by the Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Tent Catering and Decoration Vyapar Mandal. The new system is effective immediately and will remain in place throughout the wedding season, with the administration urging public cooperation to ensure smooth celebrations.
