In a significant legal ruling, the Bombay High Court has provided interim relief to filmmaker Aditya Dhar, restricting fellow filmmaker Santosh Kumar from making further allegations of script theft related to the film 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge.' Kumar had accused Dhar of copying his registered script titled 'D Saheb,' which he claims was used in the sequel to the 2025 hit film. The court, presided over by Justice Arif Doctor, acknowledged that Dhar presented a strong case, leading to the decision to bar Kumar from repeating or circulating his allegations until the next hearing, set for April 16. This order comes after Dhar's legal team argued that Kumar's claims were damaging to his professional reputation. The controversy arose following the release of the film, prompting Dhar to initially send a legal notice to Kumar, which went unanswered, leading to the court intervention. Notably, 'Dhurandhar 2' has achieved remarkable success, grossing over ₹1,641 crore (approximately $198 million USD) globally, making it India's second highest-grossing film ever.
