Jones, a former WNBA MVP, has been instrumental since joining the Liberty in 2023, helping the team reach two WNBA Finals and winning one, where she was named the 2024 Finals MVP. Last season, she averaged 13.6 points and 8.1 rebounds over 31 games despite an injury. Sabally, a three-time All-Star, contributed significantly to the Phoenix Mercury's success last season, averaging 16.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. With the addition of Sabally and the return of Jones, the Liberty's starting lineup is set to include Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Jones, and Sabally. The team is also looking to re-sign Marine Johannes and has extended a qualifying offer to Rebekah Gardner, while there are questions surrounding Natasha Cloud, another key player from last season. Training camp is scheduled to start on April 19, with the season kicking off on May 8.
