The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has expressed disappointment with Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha for not addressing critical issues concerning Punjab in Parliament. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, along with state AAP president Aman Arora and party leader Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, criticized Chadha's inaction, stating he failed to raise significant financial concerns such as ₹8,500 crore in pending Rural Development Fund (RDF) dues and ₹60,000 crore in losses related to Goods and Services Tax (GST). Cheema pointed out that the state has not received the full ₹1,600 crore in financial assistance pledged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi following last year's floods, which also went unmentioned in Parliament. The AAP leaders emphasized that raising public issues is a core principle of the party, and any deviation from this is unexpected. They noted that there is growing resentment among flood-affected residents due to the lack of discussion on their compensation and relief in the House. The leaders urged for consistent representation of Punjab's concerns at the national level, asserting that failure to do so undermines the mandate given by the people.
