The Artists Forum has announced plans to file a formal police complaint against the production company responsible for the death of Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, who tragically drowned on March 29 while filming the television series 'Bhole Baba Paar Karega' in Talsari, Odisha. The Forum expressed dissatisfaction with the explanations provided by the production house, alleging that their statements raised numerous unanswered questions. Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee held a press conference, stating that the Forum had reached out to the production company on April 1 but received no satisfactory response. Following legal advice, the Forum decided to pursue an FIR to demand a thorough investigation. The incident has left the Bengali film and television industry in shock, with many actors and technicians calling for accountability and justice for Banerjee. He is survived by his mother, wife Priyanka Sarkar, and their 13-year-old son.
