Dilip Ghosh, the senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and candidate from Kharagpur Sadar constituency in West Bengal, has declared his total assets to be approximately ₹2 crore. This represents an increase from his net worth of ₹1.82 crore disclosed during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where he contested from the Bardhaman-Durgapur seat. According to his election affidavit, Ghosh's movable assets are valued at ₹28.75 lakh, with cash in hand amounting to around ₹3.5 lakh. His wife, Rinku Majumdar, has declared movable assets worth ₹22.98 lakh and cash holdings of nearly ₹50 lakh. The couple holds various investments in banks and post office schemes, including fixed deposits. Ghosh's immovable assets consist of 1.88 acres of agricultural land in Paschim Medinipur, valued at approximately ₹40 lakh, and a flat in Kolkata's Leather Complex area with a market value of ₹1.42 crore. He also noted that he is debt-free in his latest affidavit. Ghosh previously won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Midnapore but lost the 2024 elections by a margin of about 1.37 lakh votes.
