The Power Distribution Corporation Limited has yet to recover ₹3,747.35 crore from defaulters in Kashmir and ₹1,437.13 crore in Jammu province. The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department tops the list of defaulters with dues amounting to ₹1,300.43 crore, followed by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department at ₹580.59 crore. Other significant defaulters include the Central Reserve Police Force with ₹296.38 crore, the Army with ₹197.19 crore, and various urban local bodies that owe ₹241.63 crore collectively.
