Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) has launched exploration activities at its Saint John gold-copper-antimony project located in New Brunswick, Canada. The exploration program, conducted in partnership with A.I.S. Resources, will initiate with a high-resolution airborne geophysical survey that covers 2,125 line kilometres at 50-metre spacing. Under their agreement, A.I.S. can earn up to 75% ownership of the project by investing C$4.4 million over four years, while Riversgold retains a 25% free-carried interest until a mining decision is made. The survey aims to produce high-resolution magnetic data to identify anomalies and refine drill targets within the 101 km² project area. Riversgold's chairman, David Lenigas, expressed optimism about the project’s potential for high-grade discoveries, citing previous surface sampling that revealed impressive grades such as 70.4g/t gold, 1,500g/t silver, 17.6% copper, and 10.8% antimony. Following the airborne survey, further exploration activities in 2026 will include data interpretation, ground geophysics, and drilling, as the project is anticipated to evolve into a multi-commodity system with significant scale potential.
