The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a strong critique of the Himachal Pradesh government, alleging significant corruption related to the Chester Hill land deal in Solan district. BJP chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma claimed that the Congress-led government is 'neck-deep in corruption' and demanded a High Court-monitored investigation to address the allegations. He criticized the Chief Minister's Office for fostering a 'commission culture' and accused the government of misleading the Assembly regarding a new entry tax, which he described as a burden on the common man. Additionally, Sharma raised concerns about potential manipulation in the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections, suggesting that the government is attempting to delay the polls. The BJP plans to hold protests across all 68 Assembly constituencies from April 8 to April 11 to expose what they term as anti-people policies and corruption within the government.
