This decision affects more than 40,000 Indians residing in Israel, many of whom need to return to India for various reasons, including safety concerns. With most airlines halting operations on the Tel Aviv route, only Israeli carriers are currently flying under strict regulations. Indians seeking to exit Israel are now required to travel through neighboring countries, Jordan or Egypt, using land crossings. The Indian embassy in Tel Aviv is actively assisting individuals with travel arrangements and has set up a 24x7 emergency line for support. The direct flights between New Delhi and Tel Aviv had resumed on January 1, utilizing the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, but disruptions began following a joint attack by the US and Israel on Iran on February 28, escalating tensions in the region.
