M. Abdul Jaffar, currently a Sanitary Officer in Udhagamandalam Municipality, India, is using his passion for singing to promote voting awareness during the election season. He has composed two songs emphasizing the importance of voting and aims to release three more soon. His musical journey began in 2018 while he was at the Avadi City Municipal Corporation near Chennai, where he initially used his singing hobby to raise awareness about solid waste management. Jaffar's songs, which are set to popular film tunes, aim to reach a wide audience and encourage voter participation. He emphasizes that every vote counts in selecting the right candidate and ensuring constituency development. In addition to his music, Jaffar has created nearly 166 songs addressing various civic issues, including road safety and waste management, and has received seven awards from district collectorates for his efforts. He also plans to release a short film on behavioral change related to waste management on his social media channel.
