The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Delhi Central District Police has successfully dismantled a fraudulent call centre operating in Guru Arjun Nagar, leading to the arrest of 12 individuals. The police received a tip-off on April 4, prompting a raid at the Ratan Lal Complex. During the operation, two owners and ten tele-callers were apprehended. The investigation revealed that the suspects, under the guise of 'RD Services', offered fake roadside assistance for vehicle breakdowns, charging victims between ₹3,000 and ₹4,000 for non-existent services. To gain customers' trust, they provided a 'Cash on Delivery' payment option and sent out plastic policy cards. Once payments were made, the scammers ceased communication. The police seized computers, fake policy cards, customer data, and mobile phones during the raid. All arrested individuals have been handed over to Ranjit Nagar Police Station, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed as investigations continue.
