On Monday, district traffic police in Panchkula, Haryana, India, took decisive action against reckless driving, issuing fines totaling ₹54,500 to two motorists performing dangerous stunts. The incident was witnessed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amarinder Singh near Command Hospital around 11 am. The drivers, one from Khangesra village and the other from Ramgarh village, were seen leaning out of their vehicles and engaging in risky behavior that endangered public safety. Upon being signaled to stop, the motorists attempted to flee, prompting the DCP and his driver to chase and block their vehicles. Both were apprehended, and the traffic station officer issued fines of ₹27,000 for the BMW and ₹27,500 for the Maruti Swift. Both vehicles were impounded at the Sector-7 police station. Authorities reiterated their commitment to enforcing traffic laws and preventing such reckless behavior on the roads.
