The clubs were originally required to make this payment by March 5, with subsequent instalments of ₹30 lakh due between March 28 and April 4, and a final payment of ₹2 lakh (approximately $2,400 USD) due by May 1. The AIFF has emphasized that failure to pay the total amount, along with a fine of ₹1 lakh (approximately $1,200 USD) per day for delays, may result in disqualification from the league. If payments are not made within seven days, the AIFF will issue a disqualification notice, and if the default is not rectified within four days of that notice, the clubs will be deemed disqualified for the next season.
