YouTuber Gautam Khattar has been arrested and brought to Goa on transit remand after allegedly making derogatory remarks about St. Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa, during a public event in Vasco da Gama. Khattar reportedly referred to the saint as a 'terrorist' and made offensive comments about his sacred relics, sparking widespread outrage and protests demanding his arrest. The Goa Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) on April 21 under charges related to promoting enmity and hurting religious sentiments. Following his arrest in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, Khattar was flown to Goa by a Crime Branch team. His brother, Madhav Khattar, was also arrested in Uttarakhand in connection with the case. The controversy has drawn significant attention, with local authorities and political figures responding to the public outcry for accountability.
