Sudharsan scored an unbeaten 53 runs off 28 balls, contributing to GT's chase of 248 runs. He surpassed former Australian cricketer Shaun Marsh, who previously held the record with 85 innings. Currently, the 24-year-old has accumulated 3,017 runs in 79 matches, boasting an impressive average of 43.72 and a strike rate of 142.17, including four centuries and 21 fifties.

This season, Sudharsan leads the IPL with 554 runs in 13 innings, averaging 46.16 and maintaining a strike rate of 157.83. His performance includes a century and six fifties, and he has notably recorded four successive scores above fifty, the highest in a single season. Despite his stellar performance, GT fell short in the match, finishing with 218 runs against KKR's 247 runs, with KKR's Sunil Narine being named 'Player of the Match' for his bowling performance.
