The settlement follows an investigation by the Office of the Washington DC Attorney General, which found that the company charged hidden fees that inflated ticket prices unexpectedly. Up to $8.9 million will be refunded to Washington, DC residents who purchased tickets between 2015 and May 2025. Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb highlighted that the settlement aims to restore millions to fans and ensure transparency in ticket pricing. This issue gained significant attention during the 2022 Eras Tour presale when many fans reported sharp price increases at checkout. Live Nation has since committed to displaying full ticket prices earlier in the purchasing process.
