Dinesh Karthik has officially joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as their batting coach, a decision influenced by the support of Virat Kohli and Mo Bobat. Karthik, who played a significant role in RCB's victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, shared that Bobat first approached him about the coaching position during the tournament. Despite a challenging season where RCB lost several matches, Bobat expressed confidence in Karthik's potential contribution to the team. After discussing the opportunity with his wife, Dipika Pallikal, and RCB management, Karthik accepted the role, encouraged by Kohli's belief that it would be a good fit for him at this stage in his career.
