On Thursday night, Brooklyn Rowray (senior gymnast from Des Moines, Iowa) led the Minnesota Golden Gophers to a historic achievement by winning the NCAA Balance Beam Championship with a score of 9.9625. This victory makes her only the second individual NCAA Champion in the program's history, following Marie Roethlisberger's win in 1990. The Gophers also made headlines by upsetting #4 UCLA and #9 Arkansas, advancing to their first Final Four. Rowray expressed her gratitude for the support from her teammates and coaches, stating, "I’m so honored and grateful to represent the University of Minnesota." In addition to Rowray's triumph, the Gophers celebrated seven other NCAA Championships All-Americans, including Jordyn Lyden and Arianna Ostrum. The team will compete for the National Championship on Saturday at 3 PM on ABC.
