An FIR has been filed against Ajay Rai, the Congress state President in Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The complaint was lodged by Advocate Neeraj Rawat and also names 25 to 30 supporters, including Brijraj Ahirwar, the outgoing Secretary of the Congress Committee. BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan condemned Rai's comments, labeling them as 'inexcusable and unforgivable' and criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for fostering such behavior within the party. Kesavan claimed that under Gandhi's leadership, Congress has devolved into a group that makes 'foul-mouthed remarks' against Modi. He further accused Gandhi of being 'politically bankrupt' and damaging India's international reputation with his criticism of the government, particularly regarding foreign policy and economic issues.
