The Election Commission of India (ECI) has suspended five police officers in the Diamond Harbour Police District for serious misconduct and a failure to maintain neutrality during the West Bengal Assembly elections. The officers include Sandip Garai (IPS), Additional SP; Sajal Mondal, SDPO; and others from local police stations. A report regarding Garai's conduct will be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
