The Kerala Hajj Committee has announced that arrangements for this year's Hajj pilgrimage have been completed at the three embarkation points: Kochi, Kozhikode, and Kannur. The first flight, operated by Flynas, will leave Kochi at 2:10 PM on April 30, carrying 430 pilgrims to Jeddah. A total of 13,194 pilgrims from Kerala will participate this year, with 7,943 departing from Kochi, 4,279 from Kannur, and 944 from Kozhikode. Additionally, 28 pilgrims from Kerala will travel through embarkation points in other states. The Hajj Committee has introduced a new 'Short Hajj' package of 25 days, catering to those seeking a shorter pilgrimage experience. Extensive facilities, including canteens, are being established at the embarkation points, with coordination meetings held to ensure smooth operations. Officials from the Central Hajj Committee will supervise the arrangements.
