Asus has launched the Ascent QN10 mini PC, targeting businesses and AI developers with its powerful specifications. It is equipped with an 18-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-88-100 CPU, delivering 80 TOPS of AI compute power. The device can support up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x 9600 RAM and 4 TB of M.2 2280 NVMe SSD storage, making it suitable for demanding applications. Developers will benefit from access to the Qualcomm AI Hub, which provides a variety of AI models and sample applications for training and development. The Ascent QN10 runs on Windows on ARM, a variant of Windows 11 optimized for ARM architecture, but it has limitations in app and peripheral compatibility compared to traditional x64 systems. Notably, the mini PC does not include an Nvidia GPU, restricting access to a broader range of AI models and services that Nvidia offers.
