Punjab is poised to welcome a new green cement manufacturing plant with a proposed investment of ₹250 crore (approximately $30 million USD) in Rajpura, as part of a broader shift towards sustainable construction practices. The facility, to be established by the Navrattan Group in Village Rai Majra, will employ advanced green cement manufacturing technologies aimed at minimizing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency compared to conventional cement production methods. This initiative aligns with the increasing demand for environmentally friendly construction materials and the growing investment in green infrastructure across India. According to Himansh Verma, the Founder of Navrattan Group, this project represents a significant step towards fostering a greener and more self-reliant industrial ecosystem in the country. Furthermore, the plant is expected to generate employment opportunities in the region, contributing positively to the local economy. Verma also indicated that the project could expand in phases depending on future demand in the green construction materials sector, highlighting the adaptability of the initiative to market needs.
