The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) has unveiled a 94-page manifesto aimed at addressing various social and economic issues in Tamil Nadu. Key highlights include a monthly assistance of ₹2,500 for women, free rides on government buses, and six free gas cylinders annually for families. The healthcare sector will see significant investments, with ₹25 lakh health insurance for families and the establishment of five new multispeciality government hospitals. The manifesto also promises to enhance educational opportunities for youth by increasing reservation in government schools to 10%, providing collateral-free education loans up to ₹20 lakh, and monthly allowances for unemployed youth. Farmers will benefit from minimum selling price guarantees, full crop insurance coverage, and financial support during fishing bans. Additionally, a ₹15,000 crore state credit guarantee fund will be established to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The TVK also pledges to conduct a caste survey for equitable resource distribution and implement a State Whistleblower Protection Act to ensure transparent governance.
