Indian Ambassador to Israel JP Singh participated in a Remembrance Day event in Ashdod, honoring fallen soldiers from the Indian Jewish community who sacrificed their lives for Israel. The event, organized by the National Federation of Indian Jews, showcased the community's significant contributions to Israel's development and its role in enhancing India-Israel relations. In a separate address, Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar marked 78 years since Israel's establishment, outlining six shared values that underpin the relationship between the two nations. These include civilizational resilience, democratic principles, counter-terrorism cooperation, innovation, tolerance, and inclusive development. Azar emphasized that these pillars not only strengthen bilateral ties but also reflect common interests and values shared by both countries.
