The Maharashtra State Chief Controlling Revenue Authority has rejected an appeal from Amadea Enterprises LLP, a firm co-owned by Parth Pawar, requiring it to pay ₹21 crore in stamp duty and penalties related to a controversial land deal in Mundhwa, Pune. This ruling, issued on April 28, 2026, upholds a previous decision from December 10, 2025, which determined that the company owed the amount after a sale deed executed on May 20, 2025, allowed for a significant waiver of stamp duty. The land, a 40-acre parcel, was sold for ₹300 crore by Sheetal Tejwani, who held power of attorney for the government land. Amadea Enterprises LLP had initially paid only ₹500 in stamp duty, asserting exemption under the Maharashtra IT/ITES Policy 2023. However, the revenue authority found this claim untenable, leading to the enforcement of recovery actions. The penalty, calculated at ₹1,46,99,765, is accruing monthly until the full payment is made. Parth Pawar, whose mother is the current Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, holds a 99% stake in the firm, which has the option to appeal the ruling within 60 days.
