In a tragic incident on Tuesday evening, Ayesha Salmani, a 26-year-old accountant, lost her life in Andheri East, Mumbai, after falling off a motorcycle and being run over by a BEST bus. The accident occurred on Marol Maroshi Road near Sakinaka shortly after 7 PM, when Salmani was riding pillion on a motorcycle driven by her colleague, Ashutosh Singh, 28. According to police reports, CCTV footage revealed that Singh lost control of the motorcycle while attempting to brake suddenly for a pedestrian who crossed the road unexpectedly. Salmani fell onto the road's right side and was struck by the rear wheel of the bus. The bus driver, who did not flee the scene, was unaware of the incident until bystanders alerted him.
