Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has signed RS Ambrish, a promising seam-bowling all-rounder, as an injury replacement for Shivam Mavi for the remainder of IPL 2026. Mavi has been sidelined due to a groin injury. Ambrish, who hails from Chennai, was a standout performer in India's recent ICC Men's Under-19 World Cup victory in Zimbabwe and Namibia, where he took 11 wickets, making him one of the tournament's joint-highest wicket-takers. He will join SRH for INR 30 lakh (approximately $36,000 USD). This signing follows SRH's earlier moves to bolster their pace attack, including the addition of Gerald Coetzee and Dilshan Madushanka as replacements for injured players. Currently, SRH is on a five-match winning streak and holds the third position in the IPL points table. They are set to play against the Kolkata Knight Riders, three-time IPL champions, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.
