The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Maharashtra has launched the online admission process for Class XI (FYJC) for the academic year 2026-27, following the SSC results. The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round-1 is scheduled from May 21 to 28, with the goal of starting classes on July 1 to prevent academic delays. Director Mahesh Palkar indicated that preparations were made in advance to avoid past issues such as technical glitches and delayed allotments, which had extended previous admission rounds beyond December. Currently, 7,74,918 students have filled Part 1 of the application, while over 7.70 lakh have completed online registration. A total of 9,594 junior colleges are registered on the official portal: mahafyjcadmissions.in. Students can begin filling out Parts 1 and 2 of the application form on May 11. The provisional merit list will be published between May 14 and 15, with final adjustments made by May 16. The list of vacant seats for CAP Round-1 will be announced on May 20.
