Similarly, Pathan confirmed through a video message that Banerjee never discussed this matter with him, calling the claims entirely false. These denials come amid a tumultuous period for the Trinamool Congress, which recently lost control of West Bengal, prompting speculation about Banerjee's political future. With her party facing internal strife, Banerjee is reportedly strategizing for a return to the Lok Sabha to maintain relevance in national politics. Pathan, who entered politics in 2024, previously secured a significant victory against a veteran Congress leader.
