In a series of intelligence-driven operations on Monday, Manipur Police apprehended six individuals connected to extortion and insurgent activities in Imphal. Two of the arrested were identified as active members of the Revolutionary People's Front (RPF)/People's Liberation Army (PLA), while another was linked to the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL). Police also seized 1.425 kg of suspected brown sugar and arrested four individuals for illegal liquor sales. To maintain law and order, security forces have intensified operations across the state, establishing 114 checkpoints and escorting vehicles carrying essential goods along National Highway-37.
