The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. at Plumb Hill Middle School, featuring fireworks at dusk, live music from Avenue Groove, food trucks, a bounce house, and birthday cake. This event will precede a significant 4th of July weekend, marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The holiday falls on a Saturday, creating an extended three-day weekend from July 3 to July 5. Nationwide, celebrations will include America’s Block Party, a coast-to-coast initiative, and a time capsule burial in Philadelphia, set to be opened in 2276. The capsule will contain artifacts and letters from all 50 states and U.S. territories, showcasing the nation's history.
