Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) reported a substantial decline in its financial performance for the fourth quarter of FY26. The company's standalone net profit plummeted by 58.97% to ₹27.28 crore from ₹66.50 crore in Q4 FY25. Revenue from operations also saw a decline of 15.07%, falling to ₹3,282.95 crore compared to ₹3,865.79 crore in the same quarter last year. Profit before tax was significantly affected, dropping 70.50% to ₹18.94 crore. Despite these setbacks, BCCL has approved a revision in the pricing of washed coking coal, effective April 1, 2026, aligning with the import parity pricing mechanism and its Memorandum of Understanding with Steel Authority of India Limited. The base price for washed prime coking coal will be set at ₹13,403 per metric tonne, while washed medium coking coal will be priced at ₹10,937 per metric tonne. Additionally, the board has approved a waiver of performance incentives and price discounts for power consumers exceeding their Annual Contracted Quantity.
