Doriane Pin, the 2025 F1 Academy champion, took a significant step in her racing career by completing her first Formula 1 test with Mercedes at the historic Silverstone circuit. During the session, she drove the W12 car, which was instrumental in securing the 2021 Constructors’ Championship for the team. Pin completed 76 laps and covered 200 kilometers, showcasing her talent and professionalism. After the test, she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and the emotional experience of driving an F1 car for the first time. Andrew Shovlin, the trackside engineering director for Mercedes, praised her preparation and performance, noting that she appeared at home in the car from the beginning. Pin also made history as the first Frenchwoman to drive modern F1 machinery. Alongside her role with Mercedes, she will compete in the 2026 European Le Mans Series with Duqueine Team, aiming to participate in the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours race for the second time.
