Apple TV's new spin-off series, Star City, will premiere on May 29, coinciding with the conclusion of the fifth season of For All Mankind. This series explores the Soviet side of the space race, providing a fresh narrative that complements the original show. Notably, characters such as Irina Morozova and Sergei Nikulov have been recast, with Agnes O'Casey and Josef Davies taking on these roles, respectively. Co-creator Matt Wolpert noted the challenges of recasting, as they aimed to maintain the essence of the characters while depicting them at earlier stages of their lives. The storyline will delve into the evolution of Irina, showcasing her transformation into the powerful figure seen in For All Mankind. The first season of Star City will consist of eight episodes, debuting with two episodes on the premiere date and continuing with weekly releases until July 10.
