The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a non-cooperation directive against him following complaints from filmmaker Farhan Akhtar about Ranveer's sudden withdrawal from the project just three weeks before filming was set to commence. FWICE Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit highlighted the difficulties this caused for the production team.
