The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) has announced a revised weekend schedule for the summer of 2026, implementing late opening hours due to necessary maintenance work. Starting June 6, the automated light rail system will open later on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on July 1. On select Sundays, there will be no service during the morning hours. Specifically, the REM will open at 7:30 a.m. on June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 27, while on June 21 and 28, service will commence at 12 p.m.. The adjusted schedule will continue into July, with the REM opening late at 7:30 a.m. on July 1, 5, and 12, and at 12 p.m. on several other dates. The changes will also affect the month of August, with late openings on August 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, and 16. To accommodate early commuters, shuttle buses will be available from 5:30 a.m. until the start of service on the affected days.
