In Mizoram, Health and Family Welfare Minister Lalrinpuii and Power and Electricity Minister F Rodingliana visited Aizawl Civil Hospital and Zoram Medical College to evaluate ongoing power supply enhancements. At Aizawl Civil Hospital, they inspected plans for a dedicated power line that will connect directly from the indoor sub-station, aiming to provide a more dependable electricity supply. Additionally, they reviewed the installation of a 500 kVA diesel generator, which will serve as a backup during power outages, with funding already allocated for this project.

The ministers also discussed a 20 kVA solar power system with battery backup to support essential units like the ICU and operation theatre. At Zoram Medical College, plans for a 1.5 MW solar power plant were assessed, which is to be funded under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme at a cost of ₹13.14 crore. This project will also include a one-kilometre power distribution network and three new 500 kVA transformers. These initiatives are crucial for ensuring a continuous power supply to the state's major healthcare facilities, enhancing their operational reliability.
