Topshop, a prominent high street fashion brand, is planning to reopen a standalone store on Oxford Street, London, after closing its flagship location in January 2021 due to the administration of its parent company, Arcadia Group. The brand was acquired by Asos, which initially shifted its focus to online sales. Since then, Topshop has gradually re-entered the physical retail space, launching products in the London department store Liberty and partnering with John Lewis, where Topshop items are now sold in 32 locations and Topman in seven. According to property sources, the search for an appropriate site on Oxford Street has been ongoing, and the brand aims to open the new store within the next 12 months. Michelle Wilson, Topshop's managing director, indicated that standalone stores are part of the brand's future plans, emphasizing the importance of finding the right locations. At its height, Topshop boasted 300 stores across the UK, including a flagship store in Oxford Circus that opened in 1994 and was known for high-profile collaborations with celebrities such as Kate Moss and Beyoncé.
