Microsoft has introduced a significant update for Xbox consoles, allowing users to disable the Quick Resume feature on a per-game basis. Initially tested with Xbox Insiders in March, this feature is now available to all Xbox owners as part of the April Xbox update. Quick Resume, a flagship feature of the Xbox Series S and X, enables players to suspend multiple games and switch between them without losing progress, even after turning off the console. However, for games requiring a stable internet connection, using Quick Resume often led to disruptions. The new option to toggle Quick Resume off for such games aims to enhance user experience. In addition to this, the update allows users to pin more game groups to the home screen, customize the Xbox interface colors, and easily access play history. The Xbox PC app also received updates, enabling any gamepad to control the mouse cursor and allowing users to pin favorite games. Furthermore, Microsoft has reduced the price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription from $30 to $23 per month, reflecting a commitment to improving the Xbox gaming experience under new CEO Asha Sharma.
