Saudi Arabia has officially opened visa applications for the new Umrah season, beginning May 31, 2023, and running until March 9, 2027. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that international pilgrims can now enter Mecca and secure Umrah permits through the Nusuk application, which serves as the Kingdom's centralized digital platform for pilgrimage services. The last date for issuing Umrah visas is March 9, 2027, while the deadline for pilgrims to enter the country is March 23, 2027. All Umrah pilgrims are required to depart Saudi Arabia by April 7, 2027. The Kingdom has been actively digitizing its Umrah services, introducing electronic permits and automated processes to streamline the pilgrimage experience. Additionally, Saudi Arabia is enhancing its transport and hospitality infrastructure to cater to the increasing number of pilgrims, aligning with its Vision 2030 initiative aimed at boosting tourism and religious activities in the country.
