Raghav Chadha, who recently defected from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with six other Rajya Sabha MPs, has accused AAP of engaging in vendetta politics. During a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu, Chadha expressed concerns about threats from the Punjab government, stating that he has been informed he may be the 'next target' of intimidation. He claimed that the Punjab government has been using state machinery to threaten them through social media. This meeting follows recent actions against two AAP MPs in Punjab, including raids by the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) at a textile unit linked to MP Rajinder Gupta. Chadha emphasized that they left AAP based on constitutional rights and vowed to fight back against what they describe as fake FIRs filed against them. President Murmu assured the MPs of protection and upholding the Constitution. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is also scheduled to meet the President to voice objections regarding the BJP defections.
