During the proceedings, the public prosecutor highlighted the need for further custodial interrogation to trace the source of the intoxicants and to investigate financial connections that reportedly extend from Malegaon to Malaysia. The defense has contested the addition of the poisoning charge, questioning the feasibility of proving such an allegation after a significant time lapse.
