LinkedIn has introduced a new feature called Crosscheck, available to Premium subscribers in the United States, allowing them to test AI models from major companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft without incurring additional fees. This feature serves as a 'blind taste test' where users provide a prompt and receive two different responses from competing models. After making a choice, users can discover which models generated the responses. Although still in its early stages, Crosscheck supports a variety of models and will include a leaderboard to track ratings across different industries. Currently, it only supports text-based prompts, meaning users cannot generate images or upload files. However, there are no limits on the number of text-based interactions. LinkedIn will share anonymized data with AI companies to help them improve their models. While Crosscheck is initially limited to Premium users, plans are in place to expand access to free users and other countries soon.
